Implementing the reforms handed down by the Respect@Work report will be “game-changing” for particularly women in business, according to Women’s Agenda founding editor Angela Priestly.
She told Sky News the nation was at a “pivotal point” to implement some of the recommendations from Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins’ “truly excellent” report which was released to the Morrison government today.
“I think that will be game changing, particularly for those women working in smaller organisations”.
Ms Priestly said women were often more likely to experience harassment in smaller businesses and under small employers.
“They don’t have the level of HR and the level of training and sophistication that some of these bigger employers have, that’s where we’re seeing a lot of women particularly facing this,” she said.
